Baby K is born and I need to get busy!

Well, while I was finishing Baby R's quilt - My sister had her new little Baby Girl. So this is my next project. I run about two months behind it seems. But at least they get it before they are graduating from high school, or something like that!

Butterfly Quilt for Baby R

I finished this cute little quilt for my friend's daughter's baby. I like it. I quilted around the butterfly blocks and then I quilted some cute butterfly's around the border! I like the way it turned out.

Our Owl is Back

Our little owl is back. Usually we don't see him until December but this year October! Does that mean we are going to be hit hard with Snow? I hope not!!! We can hear him out there hooting all summer, but when it gets cold he gets in our tree. He seems bigger this year.

Pretty in Pink for Baby E

I just finished this cute quilt top for my friend's new baby. I think I might quilt it with flowers all over, since I had so much fun with those on little Baby B's quilt.

I have no willpower.....

I couldn't wait. I just couldn't. I couldn't stand walking past my sewing room and seeing the blank spot anymore. I was in Target and I admit it was on impulse, but this sewing machine came with a walking foot....a walking foot! That's all I needed to know. It was on sale for only $99 and that was fine with me. So I bought it. It's a Brother XL-3750. I'm very excited to get to know it. At least it will keep me going until I get my Pfaff back or until I buy a new Pfaff someday.

Sew Mama Sew Sewing Machine Meme

Weird that I was just crying about missing my sewing machine that is broken and then I saw this today! So here is my response:

I have a Pfaff 1222E Electronic.

I have had it a little over 24years.

I am not sure what the cost was. At the time I worked at my Dad's fabric store and he gave it to me when I was pregnant with my daughter. They sold them there, but I can't remember the cost.

I used to sew alot when my kids were little. Then it sat for years. I just started quilting about a year ago and brought it out again.

I love my machine. I have't named it but I should. I love it so much.

I haven't used all the features, but I like the walking foot built in. I love that I have a million feet for it.

The only thing that drives me nuts right now is it is broken, and I am hoping to get it fixed. Probably got brittle sitting all those years. I am so hoping it is fixable. I don't think I can live without it!!!! I was dragging it around with me, but I am now going to find another one to drag around and I will leave this one home and treat it kindly. This blog will be so helpful to find something new.

I told my story earlier. I have so many memories on this machine. I wish for it to be fixed! I want it to be happy sewing!

I would recommend this machine to others, because it is a good one. I'm sure this one is not made anymore.

My dream machine would be to get this one back. Please oh Please let it be fixable.

Missing You....... Boo Hoo

My sewing machine that I've had forever died and I am so sad. I miss it every day. I'm hoping it's fixable because I don't think I can live without it Seriously. My heart is wrapped around it. But I have been kind of looking around for an inexpensive one that I can drag around and if I can get this one fixed I'll leave it at home and pamper it like I should have. Anyone found any good deals on a simple machine that they love?

Finished Baby Quilt

I'm so excited to have finished my first quilt! I used my sewing machine to quilt it. I outlined the blocks, and then I used a cute flower stencil I found. My pictures aren't the greatest, but I really like how it turned out. I can't wait to give it to my new grandbaby this summer!

Broken

Sorry to be so boring. For some reason my camera won't connect to the computer. So before I take any pictures of all the quilts I'm making....Ha Ha....I have to figure it out. Actually, I have been working on some. I took my horoscope to heart.

Get Busy With It

My Horoscope today said that I should quit thinking about things and either get to it or give it up. I do get overwhelmed and procastinate. I start all these projects and then they sit because I don't know where to go next. My first quilt is sitting there all pinned and ready to go. I think about it constantly, but can't seem to start. So since I refuse to give it up. I am going to sew ... today!!!!!!!!! Of course, after a trip to the material store.......and......See what happens!

I've Got a Dream.....

Because it is Martin Luther King Day, my friends and I from the office got a break from criminals, paperwork and lawyers, so we decided to use our freedom on our own dream.....Quilting on a weekday. I am working on a fourth of july quilt. I didn't get done but here is some of it. It's a little bit of Gypsy Quilting, it is a stack and whack which I don't necessarily love, but hey if the corners don't match, I can blame that. It will be fun to watch the fireworks on anyway.

A Late Happy New Year!!! I have been plagued with car problems for the last two weeks and it makes me mad!!!!! Anywho....This is a picture of the cutest dragonfly door knocker ever, and so besides the usual resolutions of exercise, eat better, worry less, read more, da da da da da.....I am going to paint my front door and hang it. Hopefully by spring. I love it!!!!
